Privacy policy

Last updated 20 June 2026.

How Close to Black Mirror Are We? ("we", "us") is an independent content website. We try to collect as little personal data as possible. This page explains what is collected, by whom, and your rights.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account and we do not run advertising. We use privacy-conscious, aggregate analytics to understand which pages are read. This may involve cookies or similar identifiers and processes limited technical data such as your approximate location (country level), device and browser type, the pages you visit and the site that referred you.

Third-party services we use

  • Google Analytics (Google LLC) — aggregate traffic measurement. See Google's privacy policy.
  • Ahrefs Analytics — cookieless website analytics.
  • Vercel — hosting and content delivery; processes server request logs.

We do not sell your personal information. We removed third-party advertising (including Google AdSense) from this site, so advertising cookies are no longer set.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's opt-out add-on. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold and to object to its processing.
